TIME LINE
Les Intenables is 3 founders who meet around an available brewery, in Mundolsheim, following a cessation of activity. As Jérôme and Alice had already been looking for several months and Julien had this desire in mind for years, it didn't beat around the bush! Neither one nor two, they decide to go for it and get started!
We are restoring the premises and the vats, we are brewing the first brews... The objective is to start with barrels while waiting for our auctioneer which should arrive in June! And the first beers are delivered to bars on March 12, 2020...
The Covid closure announcement will be made 2 days after this delivery. It's a shock for us, we'll have to roll up our sleeves and be creative if we don't want to close before we've even started. We don't give up, we brew for barrels and we growler!
The auctioneer finally arrives! We can offer lots of colorful cans! We slowly find a "normal" activity even if the bars are still closed. And suddenly, to turn the page of these complicated months, it is the anniversary date that we have chosen to keep!
Untenable partners are working to distribute us throughout France! We're also taking this opportunity to start holding beer festivals everywhere, we want to come and meet you! And that’s part of our DNA, we do around twenty events per year!
We were starting to get cramped! Three new fermenters are brought in to increase the capacity from 600 hL to 1000 hL per year. It is also at this time that Valentin, our assistant brewer, joins the team! We think little by little that we risk having to move...
We finally found our perfect place! Of course, we don't own our walls and we don't have the opportunity to make a taproom for the moment, but... the work has begun! On the way to a brand new brewery!
All beautiful, brand new, here we are equipped for a capacity of 2000 hL per year in a larger and more pleasant premises, in Rosheim. All that remains is to take everything in hand, moreover the first brews are already on the way! Paola, our ambassador, has also joined the team!
This is the first real consecration of the brewery, the "West Coast Paradise" wins the Alpha King Challenge. This competition rewards the best IPA and 85 breweries from all over Europe participated, including big UK or Scandinavian names! We are proud!
We wanted a change! As if there hadn't already been enough of a rebound in 2 years, you might say! The arrival of Jade, our graphic designer, allows a complete overhaul of our labels! Illustrations for the ephemera and a pattern specific to the regular range!
The year is busy! A lot of events, in France but also throughout Europe, new medals at the Barcelona Beer Challenge and a new untenable: Victor joins us as a brewer! The beer is flowing, we are thinking of new vats... but not only!
We had discreetly resumed a barrel aging program, here are the first releases! On one side, imperial stouts aged in spirits barrels. On the other hand there are seasons of lightning and macerations. These vintages are the Proust madeleines of brewers!

aka "The Doc"
She's the engineer of the group! Co-founder, she started with an industrialist before being definitively drawn to crafts! Passionate about the diversity of styles, she herself says that her uncompromising technical side can sometimes change her nickname from "Doc" to "Dragon"!

aka "The Globe Trotter"
Co-founder and master brewer, he cut his teeth for a dozen years in microbreweries but also in much bigger ones. First in Alsace, then in Quebec and Mexico... before returning home to set up his own brewery!

aka "The Young Padawan"
Passionate about craft beers, he converted and joined the Intenables team as a brewer's assistant. Casking, order preparation, cleaning, help with brewing... The famous "little hands" so essential to the brewery... it's him!
Paola
aka "La Baroudeuse"
Wine merchant before joining the Intenables, she is on the road throughout the year to promote the brewery! He is a beautiful soul, happy and sociable, who will always be ready to serve you a good craft beer with a smile!

It's the youngest of the untenable family! Brewer and friend for several years, it took us a lot of tricks and patience to poach him! You know that kind of person who is always ultra positive, who sees good and fun everywhere? Here it is !

Don't get him started on beer, this enthusiast is then (unbearable) unstoppable! And that’s what we like! Manager of one of the Intenable bars and a long-time friend, you will see him, in his spare time, giving us a helping hand for all our events!

First alternating with us for her master's degree, she continues today as a freelancer for our labels, our glasses, our coasters, our posters... in short, all the visual aids you see come out of her (disturbed) little brain. colorful!

aka "Ficus"
Half bike adventurer, half big marshmallow bear, he's the youngest of the Intenable family! Very shy at heart, he's already had quite a few years in breweries behind him! Here he's going to learn to swing (he already knows how to brew) but also to bring us his quiet strength!
